Assignments are an inevitable part of studying. But a good program should require students to complete tough projects only for clearly defined purposes. And that is what John Johan found at ITHB.
“As a technical consultant, it is my everyday duty to work on Java programming language. Thankfully, ITHB lecturers made great efforts to develop realistic and useful assignments that produce the skills that I can apply now in my tasks. ”
After finishing some projects in Accenture Malaysia, John was hired by an IT consultant, Openlink Financial – Singapore. One of his major projects was from The Central Bank of Malaysia. He is pleased to see how his investment in studying has now paid off well.
Freddy has a five-year experience as an IT Consultant. Despite his remarkable achievement, when over fifty Harapan Bangsa students recently met him in Singapore during a study tour, he seemed to still maintain the same humble Harapan Bangsa attitude he nurtured during his study at ITHB.
Freddy is very grateful for the fact that ITHB has provided him with the most important knowledge, skills, and attitude to succeed in life. “I had always wanted to work in Singapore. For in my mind, the pay would be good, and it would give me an exposure to the world’s best practices. But, the competition here is quite fierce. After graduating from ITHB, Lili Yanti was accepted as a postgraduate student at National Taiwan University, an internationally reputable university. Two years later, she got a job as a supply chain manager for a Taipei-based Dutch company.
And, she has not forgotten how the close relationship with lecturers nurtured her confidence to start off her career. She made a special trip to meet Harapan Bangsa leaders when they happened to be in Taipei.
She still keeps moving forward. Lily is now living in the Netherlands, working for the same manufacturing company.Details
After completing two-year study at ITHB Art & Design Study Program, Felicia Guyadi took her final year at RMIT Melbourne, Australia.

While studying at ITHB, Nicky saw that many multinational companies came to ITHB to recruit its best fresh graduates. One of these companies was Accenture, a US-based and arguably world’s largest technology consulting companies. Its recruitment has been held for more than 10 times at Harapan Bangsa campus, resulting in more than 65 fresh graduates working overseas.

Rusna received a job offer from Philip Morris (PM), a global multinational company listed in the US, six months before her graduation from ITHB.
Arriving in the cold air of Lausanne, Switzerland, Rusna started at one of PM’s SAP Delivery Centers. She soon began to observe at firsthand how a world-class SAP service operation is run. She understood that the opportunity to be a part of a global operation is rar, and that is why she paid close attention to every last detail.

Dreaming to become an entrepreneur, Elizabeth pressed on, a yard after another. Her once small business has developed into the widely known ‘Kebun Begonia’ resort in Lembang, West Java. After the successful endeavor at Begonia, with the qualifications she received from ITHB, Elizabeth joined a prestigious marketing survey company in Jakarta. “ITHB has equipped me with critical skills in analyzing various markets. Today, I can enjoy the success of my own company and also the compliment from my colleagues as one of the most performing young analysts within the research company.”Details

Within five years since graduation, Cindy has completed information technology projects and assignments with major companies around the world. With SAP Certificate from ITHB in her hand, she gained working experiences in ERP projects in Jakarta, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam, Korea, Japan, Argentina, Brazil, and the United States and others.
Cindy proves that an international career is well within the reach of young graduates. “The key is to prepare yourself well, “says Cindy. ‘”That way, when opportunities come, you are ready.”
The success continues. She is now running her own technology consulting company Applysit Technology.Details
One of Japan-based IT consultant companies, ISFnet, has signed an important contract with ITHB as part of its expansion in Asia. Under the contract, ITHB plays a major role in supplying ISFnet with skilled Indonesian IT graduates.
For the past two years, 44 Harapan Bangsa IT students have been recruited as IT specialists in Japan. In her testimony, Salsalina Tarigan, one of these recruits, explained, “It was all thanks to the CISCO CCNA certification, which was made available by ITHB for the Computer System and Electrical Engineering students. The certificate is a proof of our capacity, capability, and readiness to meet the global standard in the profession.”
Meet Hermanto Tjioe, Informatics Engineering graduate from class 2008, who was recruited in 2012 as an Oracle ERP SCM consultant by Intellium Inc., an IT consultant based in McKinney, Texas. Tjioe shared his secret: “Attitude is the key to success. No matter how intelligent you are, if you lack positive attitude, no one would hire you. Good luck will always follow those who remain steadfast in the face of a challenge.”Details
After graduation, Hendry worked for Phonecast Solutions in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. “I was stationed as a key designer, then promoted as a project manager. I was entrusted with these very important projects such as a contract with the Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs.” “Thank God, ITHB has geared me up with many survival tools. The Career Resource Center strengthened my motivation to succeed and helped me produce professional business proposals and presentations.”
In 2014, Hendry decided to resign and focus all of his energy to Nanuru Design, his own company based in Amsterdam. Despite being the only foreign participant, it won 9 titles in a recent identity logo and branding contest in the Netherlands. Today, Nanuru Design has designed more than 300 apps and tens of websites for world brands such as Nike, ING Bank, Philips and so forth. Many of its engagements involve multi millions Euro contracts.Details
